They could use big, colorful letters that spell, FREE!! Or, WIN!!! They use bright colors and tempting words to bring you deeper into their site.

The colors advertisers use depends on the product, if the advertiser is selling skin cream, the colors would be peach and pink, maybe not bright colors, because that may make you think that if you buy it your face might go really bright, but mellow, pretty colors are flattering and pretty.
